The Problem...
A great need for oxygen exists at the bottom of a eutrophic (nutrient rich) pond or lake. Oxygen is absorbed at the surface but fails to reach
the pond or lake bottom due to thermal stratification and poor circulation. During the summer months when the water is warm, oxygen can be consumed faster
than it can be replenished, adding stress to aquatic life.
Without oxygen, a lake or pond's self-purification capability is not only reduced, it's reversed. Nutrients that would normally be unavailable or "locked" in the
sediment are recycled into the water column. These excess nutrients are just as harmful to the waterbody as those which come from the surrounding watershed.
Fertilizers, animal droppings, septic tank seepage, all increase a pond or lake's need for oxygen.

THE CAUSE... |
Left: Agricultural runoff feeds nutrients to a nearby pond.
A self-perpetuating cycle of nutrient enrichment, plant growth and accumulation of muck further deplete oxygen. Eventually,
the rate at which oxygen is consumed in the pond or lake exceeds the rate at which it is absorbed and produced, resulting in a fish kill. Only
then is it apparent that the waterbody needs an aeration system.

THE SOLUTION... |
A diffuser system will deliver up to 10 pounds of dissolved oxygen per horsepower! That is more than bubble discs, pumps, fountains and bubblers, which typically only add about 2 pounds per horsepower.
Diffusers as a complete system can deliver 8,000 gpm/hr of circulation- highest in the industry.

THE SYSTEM... |
A diffused aeration/destratification system is the lowest cost method of inducing circulation to remove stratification, add oxygen and deliver the benefits that result from sufficient bottom oxygen. These systems have proven

are available. Each system comes with and oil free rotary vane compressor, muffler, inlet check valve, control valves, pressure gauge, pressure relief valve, cooling fan, airline tubing, air stone pads and an one-year warranty. Each of these systems
is mounted in a vandel-proof/weather-proof lockable cabinet. The cabinet is painted avocado green to blend in with the surroundings, and sound proofing that keeps the noise level below 55 dB.
